In the evening of Monday October 7th , 2024 at the Pendleton Room of the Michigan Union Building at the University of Michigan Central Campus in Ann Arbor, on behalf of the Consul of Italy, Allegra Baistrocchi, the Director of Education Office addressed words of appreciation and gratitude for the event that was held that night in celebration of the second anniversary of the Inauguration of the Permanent Othonia Exhibit on the Shroud of Turin (located at St Thomas Parish in Ann Arbor). The Consul of Italy, Allegra Baistrocchi was invited to participate to enhance the relevance of the event and the importance of a representative of Italy, that has the privilege and honor to be custodian of the Holy Shroud, belonging to the Holy See.
The event was organized by Dr Paola Conti Puorger, responsible of the Othonia Exhibit in Ann Arbor. For the occasion a lecture by the nuclear engineer, Robert A. Rucker, with the participation of Dr Marco Ginatta, was addressed to a good attendance of audience.
Robert A. Rucker is the only scientist who has ever applied nuclear analysis computer calculations on the Shroud of Turin and his important results were shared at the meeting. Dr Ginatta who came from Turin, IT, gave a feedback of the perceiving of the Shroud directly from where it is kept.
The Shroud of Turin is a subject of high scientific and universal interest at a high academic level.
Dr Lenza underlined that it was an important initiative for the promotion of the Italian culture and ended her speech on behalf of Consul Baistrocchi inviting all “to consider visiting the Shroud in Turin, Italy”.
