The Embassy of Italy in Washington D.C. and Eduitalia, an association of 130 qualified schools, colleges, and universities that offer courses for foreign students in Italy, have teamed up to offer 25 scholarships aimed at promoting the Italian language and culture in the United States.

The scholarships will allow winners to live an unforgettable study experience in Italy.
1)The grants will cover accommodation in Italy for up to 5 weeks (at one of Eduitalia’s associated Institutions listed below), enrollment, Italian classes, study material, and extracurricular activities.
All students who take the AP Italian Language and Culture exam are eligible.
Winners will be chosen by the Education Offices of the Consular Offices from the most deserving students. A total of 25 grants will be awarded in the US.
Applications are open to students who will pass the Italian AP exam 2025 2026.
- Students over 18 years old will fill out the application • Students under 18 years old will have parents/guardian fill out the application.
After gathering teacher feedback, the Education Office of the Italian Consulate will select grant recipients from the most deserving students.

The deadline for the application is on July 25th, 2026.
2)The Education Office at the Embassy of Italy in Washington D.C. will examine the applications and define the territorial distribution of the study grants assigned to U.S. students.
Winners will be selected by the end of August 2026 and will be notified by email.
Winners accepting the grant must show proof of participation in the AP Italian Language and Culture exam 2026.
The Eduitalia study grants award ceremony will take place during the XXVI Week of the Italian Language in the World in October.
