Commemoration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day

In commemoration of the 2017 International Holocaust Remembrance Day, on January 29, 2017, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at the Temple Beth El of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, the concert “Songs from a Lost World of Italian-Jewish Composers” will take place. Soprano Caroline Helton and pianist Kathryn Goodson will be performing works by Leone Sinigaglia, Vittorio Rieti, Renzo Massarani and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, whose musical scores were uncovered and collected by musicologist Aloma Bardi.

The event, free and open to the public, is the result of a successful cooperation between the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan, Wayne State Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies and Italian Program, and is presented under the auspices of the Italian Consulate of Detroit.
