{"id":2596,"date":"2025-01-16T13:10:22","date_gmt":"2025-01-16T17:10:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consdetroit.esteri.it\/?p=2596"},"modified":"2025-01-16T13:18:29","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T17:18:29","slug":"voluntaritaly-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consdetroit.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dal_consolato\/2025\/01\/voluntaritaly-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"VoluntarItaly 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>VoluntarItaly is the program handled by the Society Dante Alighieri of Michigan that offers the opportunity to young volunteers (aged 18-25) to be in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>As in previous editions, volunteers will have the unique opportunity to participate in a <strong>three-week program in Italy<\/strong>, working alongside counselors in Lombardy\u2019s oratories on educational and recreational activities (<strong><u>they will not be teaching English to children<\/u><\/strong>) \u00a0while improving their Italian language skills.<\/p>\n<p><span data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">Here are the key details:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\"><strong>Program dates:<\/strong>\u00a0Arrival in Milan (Malpensa), Lombardy, on <strong>June 7, 2025<\/strong>. Mandatory orientation on <strong>June 8, 2025<\/strong>, with the program running from <strong>June 9 to June 28, 2025<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\"><strong>Meals and lodging included in a family setting:<\/strong>\u00a0The parishes can host a minimum of 15 volunteers (below this number we may have to cancel the program, so make sure you tell your students not to wait until the last minute).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\"><strong>Airfare:<\/strong>\u00a0The cost is the responsibility of the participant.<\/li>\n<li data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\"><strong>Important deadlines:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\"><strong>Application and two recommendation letters:<\/strong>\u00a0Due by <strong>February 28, 2025 by 6:00 PM EST<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\"><strong>Acceptance confirmation:<\/strong>\u00a0Emails will be sent by <strong>March 30, 2025, by 6:00 PM EST<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\"><strong>Zoom interview:<\/strong>\u00a0Language proficiency assessment (Novice High\/Intermediate Mid or above, ACTFL).
